When I moved to Texas seven years ago, I’ve gotta be honest- this Cali girl did not quite understand the “rustic” culture of South Texas at first. But especially through my work in weddings, I’ve come to appreciate it so much- the down-to-earth elegance, the value of family and friendship, the legacy of love, plus a good time on the dance floor only made complete by lots of two-stepping and at least a handful of line dances.
Featured on the blog today is rustic elegance at it’s finest- Alix & Aaron’s wedding day at Gruene Estate was a stunner. Not to mention the sweetness and the joy of the love Alix and Aaron shared- this day was an absolute dream.
The bridesmaids wore tulle dresses in a shade of vintage mauve (side note- can we make tulle dresses more of a regular thing for the bridesmaids?? They were gorgeous!) with bouquets of light pink roses, eucalyptus, and white hypericum berries. Alix’s bouquet featured a little extra color with some peach and gold-toned blooms for that special bridal pop. The groomsmen wore classic navy suits and greenery and hypericum berry boutonnières.
The open air chapel and reception space of Gruene Estate was the perfect setting for this beautiful day.
