If there’s anything 2020 taught us, I think it’s the lost art of slowing down, taking a good look at our priorities, and realizing what’s really important to us; things we can easily take for granted in the busyness of life- the importance of family and quality time with loved ones. And that is exactly what Kassy and Jorge’s intimate wedding at Gruene Estate was all about….Celebrating their love with family and the closest of friends.
In the middle of Covid, they decided to celebrate their nuptials with a small gathering of their loved ones in the open air chapel and reception space at Gruene Estate in New Braunfels, Texas. Before wedding day, Kassy told me that she hoped their big day would be sweet, emotional, and intimate- and there aren’t better words to describe how this day turned out…It may have been different than the big wedding they had originally envisioned, but it was an incredible day to celebrate these two amazing people!

While Kassy didn’t have an official bridal party, she included all her closest friends to be a part of the getting ready time at the venue. The ladies all had fun matching robes and it was important to Kassy to get special photos with each of her sisters and friends.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the officiant held a special remembrance prayer for those who have passed and were unable to be there. Jorge’s dad was one of those beautiful souls honored and remembered

Kassy had a surprise for Jorge…It’s not a complete Texas hill country wedding without a Yeti grooms cake!
