Can I share a secret with you?…I am about two years behind in sharing wedding and sessions on my blog (GASP)!! If you’ve been following along, you probably know that I recently launched my new brand, website and blog. I reached a point with my old website and blog where the aesthetic wasn’t complimenting and showcasing the work I was shooting (yay for growth) and that had a serious impact on my motivation to blog.
So celebrating growth and my NEW SITE AND BLOG today! Sharing weekly blogs of beautiful wedding days, sessions, tricks, tips, and wedding inspiration is the goal- You can expect a new blog every week! GET READY for so many incredible wedding days and sessions coming your way! The biggest challenge in starting to blog again is this- what do I share first?…I’m thinking a good place to start would be to share the wedding days that are featured on my new site.
So today, I’m so excited to share with you Callie & Juan’s elegant wedding at Hotel Emma! One of my all time favorite places in San Antonio! As soon as I moved to San Antonio more than seven years ago now, it was an instant love affair with Hotel Emma. This hotel is truly a one of a kind destination for luxury, capturing the San Antonio essence so elegantly, timelessly styled with impeccable attention to detail while still preserving the ambiance of the brewery that the building used to house – I love it so much, Hotel Emma was even my inspiration for one of the styled shoots I planned and photographed with an Old World Vintage Charm Meets Modern Industrial theme (you can see that shoot featured on WEDDING CHICKS here if you’re interested!).
On top of having the most beautiful venue and ambiance, Callie and Juan were a giddy in love couple and people that just exuded kindness and joy- my kind of people! Even Covid causing its famous rescheduling challenges and a downpour of rain couldn’t put a damper on this wonderful celebration. This incredible wedding at Hotel Emma is one I will never forget.

Solid black bridesmaids dresses with the pop of color from the flowers- the perfect mix of elegance and fun.
I loved this!- In their ceremony, the priest had Callie and Juan’s parents standing on either side of them to say a prayer together and then stand as witnesses during their first kiss as husband and wife.
It’s moments like these ^^ that are the driving force of the passion for my work!
We didn’t mind Callie’s mama and godmother peekin’ in on bride and groom portraits one bit!
Just love this moment of Callie and Juan during their first dance
I hope you liked Callie & Juan’s wedding day as much as I did! If you loved this Hotel Emma wedding, I think you’ll love Kiersten and Jordan’s Park 31 wedding here!
Thank you so much my friend for being here! Until next time
