Still on the fence about whether or not you want to have a bridal session? Below, I share some thoughts on bridal sessions AND share some of my favorites from Amy’s recent bridal session!
As much as I LOVE a wedding day, it can be a hectic and busy day that sometimes doesn’t allow for a ton of time for bridal portraits. Which is one of the reasons why I LOVE it when my brides opt to have a bridal session! You have ONE DAY to be a bride and will probably never get this glammed up again- I don’t think you’ll regret capturing your bridal beauty with a photo session designed just for that sole purpose. One to two hours designated for, and only for, capturing your bridal beauty- that’s a bridal session! If you’re a little squirmy in front of the camera, this is also a great chance to get more acquainted to your photographer and the camera before your wedding day!
BRIDAL SESSION TIP: Often times, my brides will schedule their hair & makeup trial on the same day as their bridal session and also have a sample bouquet made by their florist so that they can literally “try out” their whole bridal look before the big day. This will give you a chance to make sure everything is perfect and exactly how you’ve always dreamed and if not, you are able to make any changes you need before the big day.
Amy’s bridal session took place at her wedding venue, Scenic Springs in Helotes, Tx. And friends- she looked INCREDIBLE!! She had a Maggie Sottero tulle gown with custom beading on the shoulders (straight out of my boho bridal dreams!!), Badly Mischka sandals and a gorgeous bouquet by Touch of Whimsy featuring colors of white, blush, and peach.
