Today, I’m excited to feature Jazmin and Carlos’ bride and groom session from their wedding day! This beautiful couple was such a pleasure to work with; they were the type of fun people who left you wanting to ask “Can we PLEASE be friends?” 🙂
When Jazmin contacted me the week prior, I was amazed by how calm and collected she was given her circumstances…She explained that her and her fiancé were driving down from Houston, their hometown, to San Antonio for their ceremony before heading right back up to Houston for their reception. Quick turn-around right!
Sadly, when Hurricane Harvey ripped through Houston in August, it caused so much damage and flooding that many buildings are still flooded or under construction, including the Houston Texas Latter-Day Saint Temple where Jazmin and Carlos had planned to get married. So they decided to make the trip down to the temple here in San Antonio and wanted to do a bride and groom session before heading back to Houston.
I don’t know about you but I think most brides would be extremely stressed out about something like this but not Jazmin– she was as calm, kind, and gracious as ever.
I couldn’t have been more thrilled to photograph these two!
Hurricane Harvey may have flooded their intended ceremony venue, but that didn’t stop Jazmin and Carlos from being all smiles on their wedding day! Deep red, dusty blue, and lots of gorgeous greenery- oh and a TEMPLE! — the beauty of these wedding details came in close second behind this couple’s graciousness and joy.
Jazmin and Carlos, I feel honored that you let me photograph your big day. I wish you many amazing and happy years together!
